Cora Mae Ballentine


Cora Mae Ballentine, 76, of Springfield, passed away Sunday June 24, 2007 in St. John's Center.

She was born December 31, 1930, the daughter of Louis Tuttle and Stella (Cornwell) Knaub. She worked for many years at Crowell Collier and Olan Mills. She will be fondly remembered by those who loved her the most as being a very fun and loving lady. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, who will miss her dearly. She also enjoyed shopping. She leaves to cherish her memory her children Sonja Schnitzler, Debra (Richard) Lewis, Terry (Bret) Adams, and Russel (Lora) Ballentine; numerous grandchildren, several great grandchildren several nieces, nephews, a special Mary Dunn, and numerous other family members.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5pm to 8pm Friday in THE JONES KENNEY ZECHMAN Funeral Home. The funeral ceremony will be held at 10 am Saturday in The Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Cartwright officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
