Brandon Barnett


Brandon Barnett, 28, of Springfield, went to his Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 6, 2008. He was born June 8, 1980, in Springfield, Ohio, the son of James and Ellen (Fannin) Barnett.

Brandon graduated from Shawnee High School and Wittenberg University. He was a Warranty Administrator for Konecranes.

Survivors include his parents James "Jim" and Ellen Barnett; two brothers and sister-in-law, Mark and Amanda Barnett and Zachary Davis; sister, Erin Davis all of Springfield; love of his life, Ashley Sothard of North Hampton, niece, Isabella Barnett; six aunts, Betty (Junior) Davis, Mary (Ed) Pendegraft, Lucy (Mark) Domanek, Dorothy (Brett) Short, Teresa (Doug) Arp and Kay (Gary) Wickline; uncle, Lonnie (Cathy) Fannin; paternal grandfather, Wesley Barnett; numerous cousins and other loved ones. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Colleen Barnett and Crate and Dorothy Fannin. Brandon loved baseball and music. He played and sang in a gospel group and sang with his brother Mark and his two cousins Andy Arp and Bryan Wickline. He had a heart of gold and loved children and had a special relationship with Jade Camden.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2008, with Pastor Jim Welch officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
