Alice Mae Bixler
Alice Mae Bixler, 83, of Springfield passed away Monday evening, November 12, 2007 in the Mercy St. John's Center.
She was born February 14, 1924 in Urbana, Ohio, the daughter of Cyrus D. and Lettie Pearl (Heins) Frost.
Alice was a veteran of the WAC and served our country proudly during World War II.
Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Boldman of Springfield; step-daughter, Bonita Williams of Maine; two brothers and sister-in-law, Bob (Juantia) Frost of Springfield and Darrell Frost of Urbana; sister-in-law, Erma Cardosa of Grove City, Ohio; brother-in-law, Ronald (Diane) Bixler of Harmony, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband of 54 years, Roger Bixler in April of 2006; two brothers, Harold and Nelson Frost and two infant brothers.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2007 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Mark Hackworth officiating.
Entombment will follow in the Rose Hill Mausoleum with military honors.
