Harry A. Ware, Jr.


Harry A. Ware, Jr., age 76 of Springfield, formerly of Enon, died Thursday, March 20, 2008 in the Ohio Masonic Community.

He was born April 29, 1931 in Indianapolis, Indiana, son of Harry A. Ware, Sr., and Vera LaVerne (Fleck) Ware.

Harry graduated from Indiana University and retired from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. He served in the U.S. Army for 2 years. In 1966 he became a charter member of the Enon Rescue Squad. He was a 50 year member of St. Andrews Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton. Harry had a booth at the Clark county Flea Market for 24 years and also did shows in Indiana, Pennsylvania and Kentucky. He collected Victorian pattern glass and enjoyed attending auctions. He co-authored a book about antique tooth pick holders.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Cynthia Ware.

His survivors include his wife of 54 years, Nancy L. Ware, a son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Joyce Ware of Springfield, a brother, and sister-in-law, Robert C. and Patricia Ware of Carmel, Indiana.

A Memorial Service will be conducted 2:00 pm Thursday, March 27, 2008 in Adkins Funeral Home, Enon with Pastor Eric Mounts officiating. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Inurnment will follow the service in Enon Cemetery, Enon.
