David G. Wylie


David G. Wylie, 72 of Springfield, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 1, 2008 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center - East High St. Campus. He was born on May 2, 1936 in Springfield, Ohio the son of Clarence O. and Jane (Lewis) Wylie.

He retired from Navistar after forty-five years of service. David was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagle 397 Aerie and the Union Club.

He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-four years, Marjorie, children and their spouses: Deborah Wylie, Brenda and A.J. Mount, David L. and Mary Jo Wylie, John and Terri Cochran, Ladora and Jim Melick, and Rodney and Donna Cochran; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-two grandchildren, one brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Barbara Wylie of Springfield, and his "fat cat" Baby.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2008 from 1-3 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME with graveside services following visitation at 3:30 p.m. in the Ferncliff Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45206.
