Carolyn Wilder


Carolyn Wilder, better known as Mom to her 7 kids, passed late Monday evening the 24th of September 2007.

She loved to spend time with her kids and had several hobbies including ceramics, quilting, gardening, and baking which was the last of which was a skill she learned from her mother.

She is preceded in death by; mother, Margaret (Parker) Slagle; father, L. Orin Slagle, and brother, L. Orin Slagle. She is survived by her sisters and brother-in-law, Frieda Hazlett, Mary & Bob Dillion, Jo Anne Young, Barbara Ray, Nellie Ray, Ruth Slagle, and Judith Slagle; daughter, Christy Ward of Selma, Ohio; sons, Danny Lee Wilder of Middletown, Roy Wilder of Provo, UT, Johnnie Wilder, James Wilder, Robert Wilder, Randall Wilder all of Springfield; six grandchildren, Michael Wilder, Mathew Wilder, Joshua Wilder, Miranda Wilder, David Wilder, Travis Wilder, and a very special Robbi Wilder with whom she was very close. Carolyn always put her kids first and raised them all as a single working mother. She will be greatly missed by her children and grandchildren.

The family is being served by the INGLING WILLIAMS Funeral Home, South Charleston.
