Charles E. Wickline, Sr.


Charles E. "Ed" Wickline, Sr., 95, of Springfield, passed away at 7:15 AM Sunday, July 6, 2008.

He was born October 10, 1912 in Pike County, Ohio the son of Charles Cleveland and Flora (Whaley) Wickline.

Mr. Wickline was a member of the Wings of Love Church and was retired from Ohio Steel Foundry.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years; Betty (Curtis) Wickline, one son and daughter-in-law; Charles E. "Chuck" and Kay Wickline, Jr., two grand children; Lauren Wickline and David Wickline, and four nieces; Delores Canaday, Marilyn (George) Collins, Katie Wickline and Donna (Sank) Fairchild. He was preceded in death by his parents , one brother Preston Wickline and one sister Martha Allen.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Danny Miller officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 12:30 PM until the time of the services. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
