Beatrice Wellman


Beatrice Wellman, 84, of Springfield, died at 10:03 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2008 in Mercy Medical Center. She was born in Pike County, Kentucky on October 13, 1923 the daughter of Johnny and Siddie (Coleman) Bentley.

Survivors include her two daughters, Annette Jones and Ida Knox both of Columbus; step-son and spouse, Lee and Wanda Wellman of Springfield; sister, Molly Coleman of Kentucky; three brothers, James and Charles Bentley both of Kentucky and Kenneth Bentley of Virginia; 16 grandchildren, Donald, David, Darryl, DeDe, Deneen, Raymond, Teresa, Tina, Tim, Todd, Kevin, Jeff, Lora, Steve, Kerry and Cindy and numerous great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave; daughter, Sue Allen; two sisters and six brothers.

Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday in Conroy Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Pierson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Mausoleum.
