Alice M. Warner


Alice M. Warner, 98, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2008 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center - Fountain Blvd. Campus.

She was born on July 2, 1909 in Springfield the daughter of John and Dora (Throckmorton) Marcum.

Mrs. Warner was a registered nurse for over forty years graduating from the nursing school at the City Hospital. She worked as a physician's nurse and also served for more than twenty-five years at International Harvester as an industrial nurse where she retired.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence and Carol Warner of Zelienople, Pennsylvania, three grandchildren and their spouses: Eric and Miharu Warner of Germany; Todd and Monica Warner of North Carolina; Kristen and Samuel Rocco of Twinsburg, Ohio; three great-granddaughters: Stephanie and Madeline Warner and Madison Rocco.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Norma Rockfield and Iola Russell; and one brother, Lawrence Marcum.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 from 4-7 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME where services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
