Sheli Robin (Jackson) Smedley, 49, of Springfield, died November 26, 2007 at Heartland Nursing Home, following a brave struggle with years of illness.

She was born June 18, 1958 in Springfield, Ohio the daughter of Robert E. and Edith (Cordingley) Jackson. Mrs. Smedley attended St. Raphael Catholic Church.

Survivors include her loving husband Patrick M. Smedley, sons Ethan P. Smedley and Conner J. Smedley of Springfield; father and step mother Robert E. Jackson and Anne K. Jackson of Springfield; sister and brother in law Kyle and Lane Berg of Suffolk, Virginia; two step sisters Mariam (Paul) Moore of Camden-Wyoming, Delaware and Karoun Miller of Phoenix, Arizona; mother in law Nellie Smedley of Springfield; brothers and sisters in law Paul Smedley Jr. of Springfield, Elizabeth Barna of Virginia, Bob and Linda Smedley of Springfield, Nanette and Christopher Marsh of Springfield, Valerie and Michael Patrick of Springfield and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother Edith in 1983 and grand mother Mabel Gardner in 2007.

Visitation will be held at the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME on Thursday from 5 until 8 PM. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday in the funeral home with Deacon Norm Horstman officiating. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
