Russell F. Stewart


Russell F. Stewart, 87, of Springfield, died at 8:10 a.m. Friday, November 16, 2007 in Mercy Medical Center.

He was born in Clark County on October 3, 1920 the son of Charles and Grace (Shope) Stewart.

He retired in 1971 as an Aircraft Mechanic from Wright Patterson Air Force Base after 30 years of service. He was a member of F.O.E. #397, V.F.W. #1031 and was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

Survivors include his wife of twelve years Edith E. (Johnson) Feeser-Stewart; two children and spouses, Pamela and Dale Derr of Centerville, Ohio, Michael and Connie Stewart of Springfield; six step-children & spouses, Debbie & Greg Campbell, Cynthia Fernung, Robert & Tammy Feeser II, Kris & Sharon Feeser, Albert Feeser, Tina & Mark Ryan all of Springfield; 12 grandchildren and spouses Jeremy (Babs) Stewart, Emily Derr, Evan (Jessica) Derr, Amy Campbell, Sarah (Matt) Zartman, Angela Bozart, Jennifer Feeser, Robert L. Feeser III, Katie & Joel Ryan, Andy & Stephanie Fernung; two great grandchildren Blaise & Elsie Stewart; two sisters, Delores Frizell and Katherine Shroyer both of Springfield and many nieces and nephews including Phyllis Schuck and Richard (Connie) Stewart.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alberta, five brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday in the Conroy Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the donors favorite charity.
