Rita Dianne Shirk


Rita Dianne Shirk went into the loving arms of her savior, while surrounded by her family and friends.

She was born May 2, 1951, in Springfield, the daughter of Clifford M. and Alma (Sheets) Summers.

Rita enjoyed camping and fishing, as well as taking part in family outings. She especially enjoyed picnics where she was able to spend time with those whom she loved.

Mrs. Shirk will be sadly missed and leaves to cherish her memory her husband Richard Gail Shirk; children Thomas (Shannon) Shirk, Anthony (Nicole) Shirk, and Dave (Dawn) Shirk; siblings Clifford E. (Judy) Summers, Jerry (Patty) Summers, Sharon (Ronnie) Mongold, and Richard Summers; 19 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a son Clifford Gail Shirk, a grandchild Angel Shirk, and her mother.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday from 6pm to 8pm in THE JONES KENNEY ZECHMAN Funeral Home. The funeral ceremony will be held at 12pm Tuesday in Northside Baptist Church. Pastor Kirk Ross will officiate. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
