Marjorie Jane Sharp


Marjorie Jane Sharp, 86, of Springfield and formerly of Liberty, Indiana, died Tuesday morning, July 24, 2007 in Forest Glen Health Center.

She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 13, 1921 the daughter of the late George M. and Merle (Arnold) Harris.

Jane was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Springfield and a former member of Edwards Memorial United Methodist Church, Liberty. She devoted herself to her family and enjoyed travel, reading and golf.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Marianne and D. Michael Brewster of Castle Rock, Colorado; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen L. and Denise Sharp of Springfield; two sisters, Dorothy (Robert) Lehman of Bradenton, Florida and Anne Vivian of Westfield, Indiana; two grandchildren, Katherine and Wesley Sharp of Springfield; a sister-in-law, Ruth Harris of Greenville, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Lawrence E Sharp in 2005; a sister, Ruth Ross; and two brothers, Jack and Charles Harris.

A graveside funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Rd., Cincinnati, Ohio 45206 or the Ohio Parkinson's Foundation, 325 N. Third St., Fairborn, Ohio 45324.
