Mary L. Scott


Mary L. Scott, 67 of Springfield passed away Sunday evening, September 23, 2007 in her residence.

She was born April 11, 1940 in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of Edward and Cleta (Crumley) Hinkel. Mary loved working in her garden and treasured the pond her husband made for her. Mary was a very dear wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years, John L. Scott of Springfield; four daughters and one son-in-law, Teresa and Tim Finnegan, Mary Catherine Mueller and Kimberly Scott of all Springfield and Jodi Webb of Mason, Ohio; two sons and daughter-in-law, John E. and Jessey Scott and Mark Scott all of Springfield; 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2007 from 5-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
