James V. Skinner


James V. Skinner, 78, of Springfield, died at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2007 in his residence.

He was born in Springfield on February 24, 1929 the son of William and Katherine (Baur) Skinner. He retired as a postal clerk from the Springfield Post Office after 27 years of service and later was the bookmobile driver for the Clark County Library for two years. He was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church and was a WW II Army Air Corps veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia A. (Gillaugh); two sons, Stephen Skinner and fiancée, Theresa Horton of Enon and Mark A. and Lorraine Skinner of Woodstock; four grandchildren, Matt A. Skinner, Jeffrey R. Skinner, Joseph Skinner and Stacie Greenlee; two brothers and sister-in-law, Paul Skinner and Harold and Mary Skinner all of Springfield; many nieces and nephews and special niece and caregiver, Laurie Lukjanovs.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday in Conroy Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Raphael Church. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
