Gerald W. Swanton


Gerald W. "Jer" Swanton, 54, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 in his residence.

He was born on June 6, 1953 in Franklin County, Ohio the son of Gerald E. and Betty L. (Demlow) Swanton.

He retired from Springfield City Water Department after over twenty-five years. He was Past President of the American Water Works Association and enjoyed bicycling and traveling.

He is survived by two sons, Jerrod Swanton and Dylan Swanton both of Springfield; companion, Linda Sue Griffith of Springfield, a brother, Steve Swanton of Indiana, and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
