Frances Jean "Jeannie" Sterling


Frances Jean "Jeannie" Sterling, 92, of Springfield, passed away Sunday evening, October 14, 2007 in Mercy Medical Center.

She was born in Jeffersonville, Ohio on March 6, 1915 the daughter of the late Michael and Della Mae (Davis) Lahy. Jeannie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who gave us all beautiful memories.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Brett Sterling and Joe and Marg Sterling all of Springfield; three grandchildren, Jon (Johanna), Jennifer (Jay) and Max (Amanda); and dear friends, Carolyn and Dick Booher. She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Sterling; and a son, Dennie Sterling.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA or the charity of your choice. The LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME is serving the family.
