Deborah Smith


Deborah Smith, 70, of Springfield, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 15, 2008.

She was boron October 12, 1937 in Springfield, Ohio the daughter of Harry and Margaret (Weaver) Brown.

She was a member of the Church of Hope and a devoted volunteer at Family Needs, Inc., formerly the Mills Center for 15 years.

She leaves behind her loving family, a brother; John (Emma) Brown of Springfield, Ohio, three sons; Jackie (Laschell) Brown of San Diego, California, Paul (Gretchen) Smith, Kenneth Smith of Springfield, Ohio, two daughters; Sherry (Marquis) Knox of Atlanta, Georgia, Tonya Griffin of Washington D.C., Brother-in-law; Edward Banks of Springfield, Ohio, sixteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two special nieces; Terria Pendleton of Brentwood, California and Dianna Brown of Springfield, Ohio, a special nephew Michael Brown, very dear friends; James Will, Carrie Johnson, Hazel Carl and Vernice White.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Aquilla Banks and Priscilla White and two special nephews; DeWaine Brown and John Linson.

Visitation will be Monday, January 21, 2008 from 12 noon -1 p.m. in the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. in The Church of Hope, 1353 W. Perrin Avenue. Arrangements by the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.
