Dorothy Louise (Balzer) Singer


Dorothy Louise (Balzer) Singer, 90, of Springfield, went to be with The Lord on October 22, 2007. She was born in Springfield, OH March 4, 1917, a daughter of John Henry Balzer, and Oreatha Marie (Speakman) Balzer.

She taught at Springfield Recreation Centers, and the old YWCA. She also authored six books.

Survivors include; daughter, Deanne Marie Singer of Bellefontaine, OH; son, John Wm. (Vicki) Singer of Bellefontaine, OH; grandchildren, Aimee (Michael) Morrison, Nathan (Laurie) Singer, Stephen Singer; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Leslie (Thelma) Laird of Fox Island, WA, Mrs. Ralph (Norma) Tabor of Findlay, OH; brother, Charles (Peggy) Balzer of New Carlisle, OH.

Preceded in death by; husband, John Wm. Singer; one sister; one brother; two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 24, 2007 in Ferncliff Cemetery, Springfield, OH with Pastor Ray Headings officiating.
