Catherine R. Seelenbinder, 96, formerly of Springfield, died August 6, 2008 in Garden Manor Retirement Village, Middletown, OH.

She was born October 1, 1911 in Springfield, OH to Thomas E. and Katherine (McManas) Shanahan.

Catherine retired as a supervisor from Ohio Thermometer (and later Echo Thermometer) after 25 years of service.

Survivors include a son, James A. and Mary C. Seelenbinder, West Chester, OH; 3 grandchildren, J. Allen, John A. and Rose Ann; 2 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband William A. in 1982, 5 sisters and 7 brothers.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in St. Raphael Catholic Church with family receiving friends one-hour prior in the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
