Bernetta (Augustus) "Nanny" Sheets


Bernetta (Augustus) "Nanny" Sheets, age 89, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at the residence.

She was born October 28, 1918 in the Plattsburg rural area to the late Frank and Viola Augustus.

Bernetta leaves behind her daughter Martha "Marty" Murray, twin granddaughters Bonnie Lou Vann of TX., Connie Sue Pierce of GA., nine great-grandchildren, 15 great- great-grandchildren, one brother Delmar Ober (Louora) Augustus of South Charleston, numerous nieces and nephews, step-daughter Marshallene (Sheets) Bernett.

She is preceded in death by her husband Marshall Howard Sheets, son-in-law Earl Murray, granddaughter Vicki Burnett.

Funeral service 7:30pm Thursday, February 14, 2008 in the INGLING WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME South Charleston, with Pastor Jim Fannin officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment Greenlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Community Mercy Hospice in Bernetta's memory..
