Roy R. Riley


Roy R. Riley, 66, of Springfield, died at 5:30 p.m. Friday March 23, 2007 surrounded by many loving family and friends at Eaglewood Care Center.

He was born July 27, 1940 in Springfield, OH to Harold and Eva (Stamper) Riley. Roy recently retired from Jeff Wyler Automotive Group, prior to that worked at Monte Zinn, after more than 28 years in sales.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Marilyn (Campbell); 4 children and spouses, Theresa and Chris McAtee, Vandalia, OH, Cheryl Jacobs, Alisha and Rob Wagner and Jayson and Jan Sturgeon, Springfield, OH; 6 grandchildren, Carrie, Joseph, Daniel and Mary McAtee, Maxwell Strugeon and Megan Wagner; 3 brothers, Bill Riley, Reno, NV, Gary (Gloria) Riley, Albuquerque, NM and Richard (Rita) Riley, Springfield; numerous nieces and nephews including Tracy Cochran and Sarah Campbell who gave us special support during his illness; brother in law, John D. Campbell and a sister in law, Hazel Riley.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jesse Phares, a sister, Betty (Ralph) Storts and a brother, Edward Riley.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Family request memorial donations may be made to Community Mercy Hospice, 1343 N. Fountain Blvd., Springfield, OH 45504. The family is being served by the Conroy Funeral Home.
