Lamar Franklin Ridgway


Lamar Franklin Ridgway, 86, of Springfield died Tuesday, January 29, 2008 in Mercy St. John.

He was born in Springfield, Ohio on July 20, 1921, the son of John and Arpha A. Ridgway.

Lamar retired as a trouble shooter and pump room operator from the Ohio Edison Co.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Paul & Leonard Ridgway and a great uncle General Matthew Ridgway.

His survivors include his wife of 65 years Mary Sophie (Koerner) Ridgway; one daughter Pamela & Mike Larch of Washington Court House; Lamar C. & Lynn Ridgway of Springfield; three grandchildren Keith Norton, Todd Norton, and Chris Hudson; eight great-grandchildren; brother in law George Koerner; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Saturday at 11:00 AM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Friends and family may call one hour prior to services. Burial to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
