Audrey L. Rice


Audrey L. Rice, 83, of Springfield, died at 8:40 a.m. Monday, November 24, 2008 in Springfield Regional Hospital High Street Campus.

She was born November 7, 1925 in Springfield, OH to Karl and Nola (Baugh) Kaiser. She was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church.

Survivors include 6 children, Carol Rice, Brooklyn, NY, Michael (Cherryl) Rice, Fayetteville, NC, Martha Rice, Stephen Rice, Springfield, OH, Richard Rice, Cincinnati, OH and Kathleen (Robert) Boesel, San Diego, CA; 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 3 sisters, Joyce (Jerry) Morgan, GA, Barbara Stevens and Alene Smith; and a brother, Roger (Joann) Kaiser, all Springfield.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert T. Rice in 2003, a son Robert T. Rice, Jr. in 1970 and 5 sisters, Ruth, Betty, Lois, Janice and Phyllis.

Friends may call in the Conroy Funeral Home beginning at 9:30 a.m. Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday in St. Teresa Church. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Robert T. Rice, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Xavier University.
