Helen Louise (Hughes) McNutt-McMullen, 78, of Springfield, passed away at 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, November 22, 2007 in Glen Forest Health Campus.

She was born in Springfield on May 15, 1929 to Lowell and Margaret (Gruntz) Hughes.

She had resided in Fountain Hills, Arizona for a number of years until recently. She had worked at White Motors for 15 years and as a secretary at Baader Brown for 20 years, was a member of F.O.E. for a number of years and the American Legion in Arizona.

Survivors include her husband, John McMullen; 3 children and spouses, Michael (Deborah) McNutt, Mark McNutt and Sondra (Robert) Seigel, all of Springfield; step-daughters and spouses, Jeane (Bob) Loughridge and Mickie (Paul) Bradshaw; nine grandchildren, Todd (Brandey) McNutt, Andrew (Nicole) Seigel, Amy Seigel, Codie McNutt, Hanna McNutt, Tami (Bob) Arnold, Carey Meredith, Kassie Arnold and Sara Arnold; 3 great grandchildren; one brother, Jack (Flo) Hughes; one sister, Janet Hough and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband, Gerald McNutt.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Monday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home with Pastor Eric Mounts officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
