Hallie M. McIntosh


Hallie M. McIntosh, 87, of Springfield went to be with the Lord Saturday morning, August 18, 2007.

She was born November 9, 1919 in Combs, Kentucky, the daughter of John X. and Mallie W. (Woods) Begley.

She was a graduate of LCHS in Hyden, Kentucky and attended Pikeville College in Kentucky and Wittenberg University in Springfield. She was an avid reader and enjoyed writing, especially poetry. She was the author of one book and designed and made clothes and also did alterations for people in the Enon area.

She was a member of the Enon Church of Christ since 1958 and was a 22 year member of a bible study group of the church. She was also a member of the senior prime timers of the church and also later held bible study in her home.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Reed McIntosh in 1987; son, John McIntosh in 1989; and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by two granddaughters, Jeri LeAnne (Rod) Perks of Enon and Leslie Marie (Jeremy) Tinkle of Enon; three great-granddaughters, Kaitlynne Wickliffe and Kassidy and Kieran Perks all of Enon; two great-grandsons, Cody and Ryan Tinkle, both of Enon; one sister and her bestfriend, Rita H. (Jim) Varney of Enon; three brothers, Kash (Norma Lee) Begley of Fairborn, Lawrence (Darlene) Begley of Buckhorn, Kentucky and John Begley Jr. of Hazard, Kentucky; many loving cousins, nieces and nephews, and also special friends, Phyllis Carl, Jenny Snoddy, Amy Duell; and her beloved church family.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, August 20, 2007 from 5-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Enon Church of Christ, 7345 Dayton Road, Enon, Ohio with Evangelist Glen Begley officiating.

Burial will follow in the Enon Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 937 High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085-4081.
