Frank T. McDonald


Frank T. McDonald, 91, of Springfield, died Wednesday morning, July 11, 2007 in Madison County Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born in Springfield on May 31, 1916, the son of Edgar and Catherine (Hullinger) McDonald.

Frank served his country in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He retired from Robbins & Myers after 38 years of service. He also worked a farm in the South Vienna area from 1957-1995.

Survivors include his daughter, Dorothy Richmond of London; granddaughter, Lisa Richmond of Galloway; special family members, Camm and Linda Richmond, Steve and Chris Richmond; special friends and neighbors, Roger and Jeanne Hart and Lee and Cindy Miller; and his favorite companion, Sam.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Edna (Reames) McDonald; son-in-law, Charles Richmond; and a sister, Helen McDonald Riley.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 14, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Richard Ellsworth officiating.

A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in Newcomers Cemetery.
