Frederick (Ted) A. McClain


Frederick (Ted) A. McClain, 71, of Springfield passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2007 in the OSU Medical Center.

He was born October 6, 1935 in Bellefontaine, Ohio, the son of George A. and Margaret L. (Deveny) McClain. Ted loved camping at Indian Lake with his wife but most of all, he enjoyed life and nothing made him happier then spending time with his loving family. He will be sadly missed all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Linda L. (Shafer) McClain of Springfield; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Pat Donahue of Springfield; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kyle and Roxann McClain of Springfield and Kurt and Wendy McClain of Friendsville, Tennessee; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Mona McClain of Bellefontaine, Ohio; sister-in-law, Carol Goble of Urbana, Ohio; four grandchildren, Andy and Tyler McClain and Jason and Katie Donahue; two nieces, Kristy and Lori; nephew, Allen and all of his friends at four seasons campground in Indian Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Martha Rash.

A celebration of Ted's life will be held on Monday, July 9, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the Grace United Methodist Church, 1401 West Main Street, Springfield, Ohio 45504 with Pastor Robert Scott officiating. Family is being served by the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
