Donald Murray


MURRAY, Donald, 75, of Springfield, OH passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2007. He was born May 10, 1932 in Lowmensville, KY to the late Arby and Eva (Castle) Murray.

He is a U.S. Navy veteran who served on the USS Vulcan. Donald worked at the International Harvester, and Heart of Ohio Antique Center owner of the Van Hoose Poultry farm. He retired from Miami Valley Publishing. He was a member of the Hickory Grove United Baptist Church and committed his life to the Lord March 1958. God has always been a part of Don's life and he lived it according to his strong beliefs. Don's family was most important to him; he showed that by being a loving father.

Don is survived by: mother of his children, Mary Magdalene (Van Hoose) Bach, children; Vivalyn (Bruce) Knight, Darwin (Maureen) Murray, Derrick Murray, Clinton (Shelly) Murray; grandchildren; Abbey Knight, Seth and Zach Murray, Corey and Jacob Murray, Dalton, Landon, and Aubrey Murray; siblings; Florence Hayes, Mae Williams, Hester Lambert, Judy Holbrook, Walter, Roy, and Chris Murray, numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by: sisters; Doris Ann, Carma Lee, Wanda Jean, Clora June, and Geneva, brothers; Kermon, Carl, and Paul Murray.

Family will receive friends at 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 12:00 Noon Wednesday September 26, 2007 in the JACKSON LYTLE & WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME N. Limestone, with Rev. Wayne Rigsby officiating. Burial will follow in the Asbury Cemetery.
