Venoris F. "Buc" Keeton


Venoris F. "Buc" Keeton, 86, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2007 in Mercy Medical Center.

He was born on October 6, 1921 in Springfield the son of the Reverend William Venoris and Myrtle (Hockenberry) Keeton.

Buc was a Milkman at Meadow Gold Dairy for over fifteen years, Schaffer's Bakery for several and finally retiring from Kelsey-Hayes after seventeen years. He enjoyed being outdoors and wintering in Florida.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Dorothy (Turner) Keeton of Springfield, one daughter and son-in-law, Mixie Sharon and Bobby Glenn of North Carolina, one grandson, Todd Leffel of Greenville, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ray and Robert, and one granddaughter, Tara Clark.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, November 23, 2007 from 5-7 pm in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME where the service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Vale Cemetery.
