Shirley J. Kidder


Shirley J. Kidder, 64, of Springfield passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, June 20, 2007 in her residence with her loving family by her side.

She was born September 23, 1942 in Urbana, Ohio, the daughter of Paul and Ida Mae (Apple) Taylor.

Shirley will always be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, adoring grandmother and a caring friend who never knew a stranger. She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Ed Kidder of Springfield; three daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Nusser Agheli of Folsom, California, Lori and Mike Yates of Springfield and Lana and Randy Stewart of Springfield; three sisters and brother-in-law, Betty Ricketts of New Carlisle, Ohio, Mary Jones of Troy, Ohio and Nancy and Harold Stewart of New Carlisle, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Misty, Sean and Roz Agheli, Josh Via, Jodi and Jana Yates, Megan and Kara Worthen and Austin Stewart; brother-in-law, Bob (Barb) Gieselman of Florida; sister-in-law, Chichi (Bob) Price of Springfield; numerous nieces and nephews; all of her caring friends from South High School's kitchen and someone special like a daughter, Mel Aper of Springfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Libby Robbins and brother, Bob Taylor.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, June 22, 2007 from 5-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Burial Park.
