Nancy L. Knapp


Nancy L. Knapp, 65, of Springfield, died at 5:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2007 in the McAuley Center, Urbana.

She was born in Washington Court House on August 7, 1941 the daughter of John G. and Ruth E. (Kearney) Johnson.

She was a therapeutic program worker for the past 26 years at Springview Developmental Center, the Montgomery County Developmental Center and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas E.; five children and spouses, John T. Knapp of New Carlisle, Mike E. (Chris) Knapp of Springfield, Jeff (Kristen) Knapp of Fairborn, Andy (Shari) Knapp and Krissi (Jim) Roberts all of Springfield; seven sisters and brothers and spouses, Peggy (Scott) Lamberth of San Carlos, Mexico, William (Carol) Johnson of Springfield, Jack Johnson of Mechanicsburg, Joe Johnson of Springfield, Dahl (Stephanie) Johnson of Enon, Sue (John) O'Laughlin of Mechanicsburg and Steven (Kim) Johnson of Springfield; 12 grandchildren, Kalan, Skylor, Colton, Scott, Brandon, C.J., Dakota, Kent, Jenna Lee, Kaitlyn, Gracie and J.T. She was preceded in death by her sister, Julia Daines and her brother, Bob Johnson.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday in Conroy Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held at 12 noon Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Rick Clos officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
