Nancy Otewalt Kincaid


Nancy Otewalt Kincaid 82, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2007 in the Ohio Masonic Community.

She was born August 21, 1925 in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of Arthur B. Otewalt and Eunice (McKinnon) Otewalt.

Mrs. Kincaid attended school in Toledo, Ohio, graduating from Springfield High School Class of 1943. She was a lifelong member of the Christian Science Church, serving in many capacities in churches across the country. While living in Boston, she worked at the worldwide headquarters of the Christian Science Church as an Executive Assistant to the Clerk of The Mother Church in Boston. Her devotion to her church was well known among those who knew her. Throughout their married years, the Kincaids lived in Chicago, California, and Boston, returning to Springfield in 1987. She often referred to her husband, children and grandchildren, saying, "These are my jewels". She was a member of Order of Eastern Star Home City Chapter, the Daughters of the American Revolution and Ohio State Parents Organization.

Mrs. Kincaid leaves her husband of sixty-two years, Richard Kincaid; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Robert Orr of Ridgefield, Connecticut; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas R. and Sandra Kincaid of Northboro, Massachusetts; and five grandsons, Thomas Orr (Shauna) of Columbus, Ohio, Captain Douglas Orr, USMC (Candice) and their son, Joseph Thomas Orr of Camp Pendleton, California, Gary Orr of Ridgefield, Connecticut, and R. Gregory Kincaid and R. Jeffrey Kincaid, both of Northboro, Massachusetts. She is mourned by her brother, David Otewalt of Cupertino, California; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Jonathon Bruce. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

The family is being served by the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
