John David Kreitz


John David Kreitz, 57, of Springfield, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening, February 20, 2008 in his residence. He was born in Springfield on May 1, 1950 the son of John and Audrey (Grimes) Kreitz.

Dave was a 1968 graduate of Greenon High School. In 2002, he retired as a union steward from International Truck & Engine following 32 years of service. He was a former member of Lodge F. & A.M. and Home City Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. Dave loved golfing and gardening.

He is survived by two children, Beth (Tom) Campbell of Urbana and John Thomas Kreitz of Beavercreek and three granddaughters, Madelon, Ella and Alisha. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles.

Dave's funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME with Gary Baker officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
