Elizabeth J. "Betsy" Hardy


Elizabeth J. "Betsy" Hardy, 91, of Springfield, died at 11:50 a.m. Wednesday April 4, 2007 in Oakwood Village.

She was born December 26, 1915 in Delmar, NY to Edgar J. and Clara L. (Huntington) Hazelton. She was a member of the High Street Church of the Nazarene.

Betsy is survived by 2 children, Pastor Dale D. and Diane Hardy, New Holland, PA and Joyce F. and Manny Diesman, LaGrange Park, IL; 5 grandchildren, Garrick (Ruth), Karri, Jonathan, Joshua and Anthony; a sister, Louise Kerston, Westerville, OH and numerous nieces and nephews. Her husband, Rev. Deane R. Hardy, preceded her in death in 2003.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at in the High Street Church of the Nazarene with Rev Dale Hardy and Rev. Brett Leyton officiating. The family will receive friends, in the church, two hours prior, beginning at 12 noon. Burial will be in Hazelton Cemetery, Wilmington, NY. Memorial donations may be made to the Hardy Ministry Fund c/o High Street Church of the Nazarene, 1625 E. High St., Springfield, OH 45505. The family is being served by the Conroy Funeral Home.
