Carl E. (Fisherman) Hayner


Carl E. "Fisherman" Hayner, 71, of Springfield, passed away at 6:24 PM Thursday, August 30, 2007 in Community Hospital.

He was born December 31, 1935 in South Charleston the son of Clarence E. and Belle Hayner. Carl was an avid fisherman and enjoyed flea markets. He worked as a handyman all of his life.

Survivors include his wife Saundra (Sandy) Hayner, children: Richard (Terri) Hayner, Joe Lewis, Jesse Sowers and Ralph (Kelly) Sowers, grand children: Casey, Cameron, Samantha, Jamie, Michelle, Kendrick and Koby, brother Ronald (Alice) Hayner, sister Louise Taylor, and several aunts, uncles, nieces nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son David Hayner, a niece Jerri and a brother in law Linden Taylor.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Vale Cemetery.
