Raymond L. Gustin


Raymond L. Gustin 71, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Friday October 5, 2007 at Hospice of Dayton.

He was born January 15, 1936 in Dayton, the son of the late James & Ernestine (Houk) Gustin. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a retired pipefitter from the Mound in Miamisburg and was along time employee of Dayton Tire and Rubber. After he retired he sold tokens at the Super Wash in Tipp City. He was a charter member of the Tipp City Council of World Affairs which met three times a day at McDonald's. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. A loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of the Brandt Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Priscilla (Shiveley); three sons, Gerry & Pam Gustin of Tipp City, Ted & Angie Gustin of Thomaston, Georgia, Matt & Pam Gustin of Englewood, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Chris, Wayne, Jacob, Brian, Michael, Peter, Rick, Keelie, and Joe; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Tom and John Gustin.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at the Brandt Lutheran Church with Pastor Gill Krouse officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206.
