Johnnie Lee Garrison


Johnnie Lee Garrison, 79, of Springfield, went to be with the Lord Thursday evening, August 7, 2008 in Mercy Medical Center after several years of failing health.

She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on September 8, 1928 the daughter of Grinston and Stella Wood.

Johnnie retired from Mercy Medical Center in 1991 following 20 years of service. She was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry Garrison in 1968; a brother, Grinston Wood Jr.; and a sister, Clara Day.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Jim Knisley; two sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Debbie Garrison and Jeff and Elaine Garrison; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Brian) Preston, Leslie Patch, Turner Garrison, Isaac Garrison, and Abby Garrison; three great grandchildren, Noah, Jacob and Rebecca Patch.; and a sister, Ruby Haas of Cincinnati.

A private service will be held in Ferncliff Cemetery with Pastor Dan Fiorini officiating.

The LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME is serving the family.
