James L. Galford, Sr.


James L. "Pops" Galford, Sr., 68, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Tuesday May 6, 2008 in Dayton, Ohio.

He was born May 2, 1940 in Wakefield, Ohio the son of the late Homer & Myrtle (Dunham) Galford.

He was a member of Dayton N Track, Boy Scouts of America, 4-H Clubs, Bethel Music Boosters and Bethel Athletic Boosters.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dana (Steinhauer); children, Tamara (Michael) Yeager, Christopher Galford and fiancé Teresa Hughes, Nancy (Stoney) Hicks; eight grandchildren; two step grandchildren; the Fields sisters; other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, James Galford, Jr.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 3-6 p.m. Sunday May 11, 2008 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Wakefield Freewill Baptist Church, Wakefield, Ohio with viewing one hour prior.
