Helen F. George


Helen F. (Means) George, 89, of Springfield passed away Sunday evening, November 4, 2007 in her residence.

She was born November 25, 1917 in Marysville, Ohio, the daughter of Frank and Crystal (Grant) Means.

Helen retired from Wrens Department Store after many years of service.

Survivors include one son Benny H. George and daughter-in-law, Ruth George of Springfield; one sister, Mary Palmisamo of California; one brother and sister-in-law, Franklin and Roberta Means of Arizona; one granddaughter, Molly (Jason) Beam of Nevada and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Daryl H. George of 66 years, whom she married on October 6, 1940, and several brothers and sisters.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, November 9, 2007 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Northminster Presbyterian Church, 400 Villa Road, where memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dwight McCormick officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Northminster Presbyterian Church, 400 Villa Road, Springfield, Ohio 45503.

Family is being served by the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
