C. Anna Gillespie, 78, formerly of Springfield, died at 5:15 a.m. Thursday January 3, 2008 in Green Hills Care Center, West Liberty, OH.

She was born February 26, 1929 in Guernsey County, OH to Raymond and Florence (Hanna) George.

Anna was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church and volunteered many hours at Guernsey Memorial Hospital while residing in Cambridge, OH.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Harold L. Gillespie; 3 sons and spouses, Carl and Rachel Gillespie, Bellefontaine, OH, Curt and Stephanie Gillespie, Springfield, OH and Chris and Dede Gillespie, Pickerington, OH; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a sister, Joan Hague, Orlando, Florida; a brother, Willard (Helen) George, Columbus, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A sister, Martha Jerles, preceded her in death.

Friends may call in the Conroy Funeral Home from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with her brother in law, Ray Gillespie officiating. Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge, OH.

Memorial donations can be made to the Green Hill Care Center Endowment Fund in West Liberty, OH
