Thelma L. Funk


Thelma L. Funk, 91, of Springfield, died Saturday morning, September 8, 2007 in Community Hospital.

She was born in Springfield on June 2, 1916 the daughter of the late Raymond W. and Cora B. (Conrad) Athy.

Thelma retired from Fulmer's Supermarkets. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret Ann and Rev. Edward Young of Louisville, Kentucky and Nancy and Mark Whitt of Springfield; a son, Robert E. Funk of Springfield; four grandchildren, Martin Young, Paul Young, Brittany Funk, and Cassandra (Chris) Flatt; three great grandchildren, Carson Conley and Maddox and Cannon Flatt.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Funk in 1984; four sisters; and seven brothers.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Thelma's funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Roger Herrig officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 1612 S. Belmont Ave., Springfield, Ohio 45505.
