Raymon J. Feierstein


Raymon J. Feierstein, 78, of Springfield, died Thursday October 18, 2007 in Mercy Medical Center.

He was born August 9, 1929 in Greenville, Ohio, the son of George and Loretta Feierstein.

He served his country with the United States Army from 1946 - 1949. Raymon earned his Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Miami Florida in 1954. He worked for Wright-Patterson Air Force Base for thirty-one years and retired in 1989. He was a member of AmVets Post 37, Anthony Lodge 455 Free and Accepted Masons and a lifetime member of VFW Post 8437.

Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Chet Walthall; Susan and Marshall Jackson; Mary Hill all of Springfield; Anna and Donnie Crutcher of Union; special companion and friend Tina Oaks of Enon; brother, Richard Feierstein of Celina; six grandchildren, Michelle, Brandy, Matt, Philip, Tony and Josh; six great-grandchildren, Alex, Noah, Taylor, Darrell, Precious and Brandon; numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Frances; grandson, Michael Harber; three brothers.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday with Masonic services at 2 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday October 22, 2007, with Rev. Bruce Kramer, officiating.

Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to D. Michael Harber Scholarship Fund at the Springfield Foundation, 4 West Main Street, Suite 825, Springfield, Ohio 45502.
