Eugene John Fleming


Eugene John "Butch" Fleming, 67, of Springfield, passed away on March 17, 2008 in the St. John's Center.

He was born on January 1, 1941 in Springfield the son of John E. and Beulah G. (Lambert) Fleming.

Butch left Springfield at the age of fifteen and returned forty years later where he spent his time in retirement. He loved his baseball and was a fan of the San Diego Padres and enjoyed NASCAR. He also took special care of his dogs, Mugs and Maddie.

Eugene is survived by his wife of nine years, Kathy (Maier) Fleming of Springfield, his father, one daughter, Cindee Fleming of California, and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother and sister, Shirley Pratt.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Springfield Regional Cancer Center, 148 West North St., Springfield, OH 45504.

The family is being served by the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY.
