Elizabeth Fern Flanery


Elizabeth Fern Flanery, 66, of Morristown, TN formerly of Springfield died Friday, October 10, 2008 in the Heritage Nursing Care Center.

She was born in Morehead, KY on October 30, 1941, the daughter of Melvin and Hazel (Binion) Dehart.

Elizabeth was a member of the Open Bible Church. She retired as a beautician with over 30 years of service, working in Park Shalamar.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; husband Carl Flanery; daughter Shelby Jean Brown; sister Gracie Marie James; and brother William Edgar Dehart.

She has left to cherish her memory one daughter and son-in-law Teresa (John) Williams of Morristown, TN; three sons and one daughter-in-law Jack Brown of Morristown, TN, Patrick Morrissey and Gary (Lisa) James both of Springfield; five sisters Monie Collins of Morehead, KY, Jewell Walker and Essie Orpurt both of Wabash, IN, Mary Music of Defunaich Springs, FL, and Gay Yohman of Asheville, NC; three brothers Ernie and Paul Dehart both of Wabash, IN and Thomas Dehart of Morehead, KY; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call Monday from 5-8 PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Services will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the memorial home with Rev. James R. Martin officiating. Burial to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.

Memorial contributions are requested to the Alzheimer's Association.
