Alice M. French


Alice M. French, 81, of Springfield, passed away at 8:05 AM Monday, June 2, 2008 in Mercy Medical Center.

She was born April 23, 1927 in Urbana, Ohio the daughter of Alfred and Rhoda (Petty) Dunlavey.

Alice was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #397 since 1960. She was a retired executive secretary for the Carmichael Machine Corporation.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Louis E. (Lou) French, one son; Michael L. (Pricilla) Dillon of Yellow Springs, Ohio, one daughter; Valerie French of Perrysburg, Ohio, three grandchildren; J. Conrad Dillon, Jason R. Erikson and Nicholas J. Gunzburg, one sister Helen Hillard, Springfield and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Clara Koerner.

Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor Rick Clos officiating. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Mausoleum.
