Joseph Ehrhard


Joseph "Jack" Ehrhard, 85, of Springfield, passed away Saturday morning September 20, 2008 in Oakwood Village. He was born December 11, 1922, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Martin and Johanna (Nordeim) Ehrhard.

He was a veteran of World War II with the United States Navy serving as a pilot on the U.S.S. Intrepid. Jack was a member of High Street United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Springfield Rotary Club. He retired as President and General Manager of Kelsey Hayes — SPECO Division.

He is survived by four children and spouses, Jenny and Rick Sano of Centerville, Kelly and Brett Gault of West Carrollton, Chris and Debbie Ehrhard of Springfield and Clay Ehrhard of Springfield; eight grandchildren, Heather, Alyson, Bryan, Jason, Brittney (Ross), Brett Jr., Joe (Michelle) and Christina; two great-granddaughters, Bridgette and Miranda. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of forty-nine years, Betty Jane (Kallam) Ehrhard; sister, Gertrude Scott and brother, Martin Ehrhard.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday in LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Paul Price officiating. Burial will be in Dayton Memorial Park.
