Bryant E. Evans


Bryant E. Evans, 49, of Springfield, Ohio departed this life in his residence on Friday, September 26, 2008.

He was born July 12, 1959 to the union of Vernon (Tracey) Evans Sr. and Linda (Clark) Evans. Bryant retired from the United States Army.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, Terry (Lyles) Evans; his loving and devoted daughter, Yolanda Lyles; goddaughter, Jasmine Fultz all of Springfield, Ohio; three brothers, Vernon (Lisa) Evans Jr. of Delaware, Ohio, Steven Johnson of Columbus,Ohio and Carlton Gaines of Springfield, Ohio; Three sisters, Verna (Evans) Mitchell, Marverna (Nikki) Evans both of Springfield, Ohio and Paige Evans of Yellow Springs, Ohio, two sisters-in-law, Althea Smoot of Springfield, Ohio and Kathy (Tommy) Jackson of Circleville, Ohio, very special cousins, Gary Gilbert Jr. and Terri (Lawrence) Strodes, special friend, Franklin Casey all of Springfield, Ohio and a number of other relatives and friends.

Bryant was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Calvin and Julie Clark, paternal grandparents, Mattie and Elbert Evans, aunts, Mary Wade, Audrey Clark and Florence Quarles, three uncles and 5 cousins.

Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home. Funeral will be Friday in the Zion Hill Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Dayton National Cemetery will military honors. Arrangements provided by the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.
