Amy Jo Ehlinger


Amy Jo Ehlinger, 38, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2008 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center - East High Campus, following complications due to Multiple Sclerosis.

She was born on October 27, 1969 in Springfield, the daughter of Michael W. Ehlinger and Joyce (Pennington) Shirk.

She is survived by her parents and their spouses, Joyce and George Shirk of Springfield and Mike and Aileen Ehlinger of Springfield; two daughters, Randi McCarty of Woodstock and Lyndsi Ehlinger of Springfield; one son, Brandon Ehlinger of Springfield; sister and brother-in-law, Kara and Alberto Lugo of Springfield; brother and sister-in-law, Mike II and Terrie Ehlinger of Frazeyburg, Ohio; paternal grandmother, Lois I. Ehlinger of Springfield; step-brothers and step-sisters-in-law, Scott and Angie Long of Springfield and Shawn and Darlene Long of Gallipolis; five nieces, three nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Elmer and Luna Pennington; and paternal grandfather, Don Ehlinger.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Nation Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, Ohio Valley Chapter, 4460 Lake Forest Drive - Suite 236, Cincinnati, OH 45242.

The family is being served by the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY.
