Errol (Sonny) DeWitt


Errol "Sonny" DeWitt, 67 of Springfield died at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2007 in Mercy Medical Center.

He was born November 27, 1939 in Ashland, KY the son of Johnny and Verna (Brown) DeWitt. He retired in 1996 from TNT Holland after a number of years of service. He was a member of F.O.E. #397, Union Club and Ohio Army National Guard retiring after twenty-three years of service.

Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife of forty-five years Glenda, two children and spouses Bill and Angie DeWitt, Kelly and Doug Haney all of Springfield; twelve grandchildren Casey, Eric, Corey, Carah, Allison, Haley, Kara, Nick, Brandon, Courtney, Nick and Baylee; sister and brother-in-law Sherry and Kim McClenen, South Charleston, Ohio; two brothers and sisters-in-law Jack and Judy DeWitt, Ron and Barbara DeWitt all of Springfield, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ken and Sue Wipert, Chillicothe, Ohio; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his father in 2007.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the Conroy Funeral Home with Mr. Ray Clark officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Mausoleum. Memorial donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Heart Association or the Living Harvest Church of God, 1901 Mechanicsburg Rd., Springfield, Ohio 45503
